As an online learning institution based in Ontario, Mukwa Academy operates in accordance with the policies and expectations set out by the Ontario Ministry of Education. The school offers courses that lead to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and follows the guidelines outlined in key Ministry documents, including Growing Success and Ontario Schools, Grades 9 to 12: Program and Diploma Requirements, 1999 (OSS).

Mukwa Academy is committed to ensuring that all learners have the opportunity to achieve their full academic potential—regardless of location, personal schedule, or learning style. All courses are delivered by certified Ontario teachers and are fully aligned with the Ontario curriculum. Instruction is primarily asynchronous, supported by secure online tools such as Moodle, and includes opportunities for teacher feedback, virtual check-ins, and engaging multimedia resources.

Courses We Offer

Each credit course is designed to include a minimum of 110 instructional hours. Final evaluations—which may consist of culminating activities, projects, and proctored exams—account for 30% of the final course grade, as outlined in Ministry policy.
